For every piece sold, school uniforms are sourced from regions plagued by gender inequality and given to local schoolgirls. Giving uniforms to students who did not previously own one has shown to reduce school absenteeism by 64%.
When you purchase a piece from Rallier, we will make a donation to Shining Hope for Communities to support the provision of school uniform dresses for girls.
Rallier will donate an amount sufficient to locally source one school uniform dress for each piece purchased for $295 or less, two school uniform dresses for each piece purchased for between $296 and $395, and three school uniform dresses for each piece purchased for $396 or more.
Shining Hope for Communities (SHOFCO) combats gender inequality and extreme poverty in Kenya’s urban slums by linking tuition free schools for girls to holistic social services for all. Educating a girl in urban slums means she will earn more and invest 90% of earnings in her family, be three times less likely to contract HIV, and have fewer, healthier children who are more likely to reach adulthood. Our founder, Olivia Rose Wright, has served on SHOFCO’s leadership council since 2014.
“I think we can all relate to the influence that clothing has on where and how we decide to show up. I hope Rallier helps women define their presence on their own terms.”- Olivia Rose Wright, Founder
RALLIER is an emerging womenswear brand inspired by the notion of a self-defined uniform. Designed and made in New York, the collection explores the tension between individuality and timelessness by mixing the heritage of archetypal dress codes with a modern spirit of ease. Our pieces are made from fine, high quality, ethically sourced natural fibers and designed to be worn for years down the line.
RALLIER founder Olivia Rose Wright was inspired by her grandmother, who supported her children’s education by designing dresses and eventually opening her own dress store in San Francisco in the 1950’s. When it came time to conceptualize her own legacy, Olivia looked at a cause that mattered to her most – education for girls and gender inequality. Through her research, Olivia discovered the troubling reality that the lack of a school uniform was keeping many girls out of school. Utilizing her experience at luxury labels (such as Prada and Cartier), Olivia conceptualized RALLIER to elevate the notion of social responsibility in fashion.
